What is Microsoft Access?

What is Access? Why would I want to use it? This workshop is a brief introduction to database concepts and Microsoft Access. We will look at several databases that have been created in Access and talk about why you may want to use Access instead of Excel to track your data.

#1 - Access 2007 Basics & Database Fundamentals
3.0 hours
This workshop assumes you are comfortable with a computer and have some knowledge of other Microsoft Office programs. Topics include database concepts, introduction to tables, queries, forms and reports. This workshop is a prerequisite for the other Access workshops.

Access 2007 Importing and Exporting from Excel
1.0 hour
This workshop assumes some prior knowledge of Microsoft Access. In this workshop we will create and modify Access tables from Excel data. Topics include linking to Excel; importing from Excel; handling import errors; linking to another Access Database; importing from another Access database and working with saved import/exports.
